Monies held by the Library: none

 

Highlights of 2005-2006:

 

-         Secured use of office space at the Beverly Public Library, in the Friends Room. Complete with desk, file cabinet, a computer donated by Barbara Broudo and printer by John Thomson.  We are able to store our sign, exhibit board and supplies.

-         BAP official letter head and envelope logos organized by Barbara Broudo

-         Hired Archivist Kristen Kobialka to present workshops and  provide onsite visits funded by Mass Historical commission Grant

-         Ordered archival supplies for members funded by the Essex National Heritage Commission Grant

-         Held two highly successful workshops on Oct 22 & Nov 5 at the Library led by Kobi.  The second workshop is available on DVD

-         Kobi made onsite visits to 9 institutions.

-         Kobi presented a mini seminar on Emergency Preparedness. As a result a reaction kit was assembled and is located for use in the BAP Office.

-         A Wrap up presentation and rehousing presentation given by Kobi at the Library in June.

-         Two Archival kits were assembled for on site use and are available for check out in the BAP Office.

-         We designed and published 100 copies of the BAP 2007 calendar which is available.  61 copies were sold and 3 were complimentary as of Aug31, 2006. Copies are still available at the Beverly Library Circulation Desk.

-         BAP was rained out of participation in the Beverly Art Fest and Hale Farm Fair in June but did have a booth at the rescheduled Hale Farm fair in Aug during Homecoming.  A  mini exhibit of the material in the calendar was presented and copies of the calendar were available

-         The mission statements and Goals for BAP were revised and a new brochure was printed.

 

 

Visions for 2006-2007

 

Encourage participation by Civic and Business organiztions in BAP

Secure funding for possible video documentary of BAP

Explore the use of Local Access Television (BEVCAM) for reaching community

Explore new Grants

Publish a 2008 Calendar

Explore additional uses for Website
