The exhibit later was moved to the Beverly Senior Center and will eventually be scanned and archived as a permanent record. The purpose of the exhibit is to showcase to the citizens of Beverly historical highlights form the various institutions, thus educating the public to the rich historical tapestry that is the city of Beverly.

2003

MHRAB Grant

In 2003, the Beverly Archives Project applied for and received a $4800 grant from the Massachusetts Historical Records Advisory Board to hire an archivist to survey the historical records of various religious, public and private institutions in Beverly. It was the first in Massachusetts to coordinate records from municipal, religious and educational organizations. There are currently fourteen institutions, many of which participated in the survey by archivist, Kristen Kobialka. At the completion of the surveys, a presentation by the archivist was given which was open to the entire Beverly community.
