Meeting Minutes 4 November 2004 Time and Place of MeetingBeverly Public Library 9:30 AM Meeting attendees:Members Present: Carol Mori, Sister Marguerite, John Thomson, Crystal Atherton, John Suminsby, Tom Scully, Barbara Broudo Minutes of the October meeting were approved. Minutes will be posted on our website Committees and chairs were officially established Facilitator – Barbara Broudo Facilitator Elect – Carol Mori Secretary – Barbara Broudo Treasurer – John Thomson Website – Charlie Wainwright with John Suminsby Exhibit – Committee of the whole Public Relations – Carol Mori Committee determined not to pursue a 501 ( C )(3) nonprofit designation. This will be revisited at a later time. A member of the committee has been most gracious agreeing to fund the cost of a domain name and 1 years cost. A large THANK YOU was extended! Charlie Wainwright will investigate the costs for our domain name. And will review the Yahoo Group mailing addresses and make sure it is up to date. City wide groups need to be identified as potential members: include civic, social, business, educational, veterans, religious and municipal organizations. It is a goal for BAP to pursue this year. David Shawn will be approached to write an article about BAP for the local newspapers. Several members will attend the National Historical Publications and Records Commission’s grant application workshop on December 8, 2004 at the Hamilton-Wenham Public Library prior to our December 9, 2004 meeting to discuss applying for the Documentary Heritage Grant. The application deadline is February11, 2005. BAP will proceed with another exhibit for 2005. City of Beverly Architectural Elevation Drawings. They are housed in a variety of locations within the city and the committee will visit/select drawings at the January meeting. - The exhibit will be installed for the 2005 Homecoming at a venue not yet identified. - It was determined that a table be acquired during the Beverly Arts Festival held in June, to acquaint the citizens with another aspect of the work BAP is accomplishing. Include samples of the architectural drawings being used in the larger exhibit, BAP handouts and sign up sheets for those organizations/contacts who are interested. December meeting - Changed to December 9, 2004 – 9:30 AM Library- discussion of grant application January meeting – visit/select drawing for exhibit – January 6, 2005. Location TBA.
