Time and Place of MeetingBeverly Public Library Meeting attendees:Present: T. Scully, J. Suminsby, J.Thomson, E Iraelsohn, D. Brown, C. Mori, Sister Marguerite, B. Broudo
Minutes of the December 9, 2004 and February 3, 2005 meetings were approved. The committee will proceed with an application grant to the Essex National Heritage Commission for Historical Archives with a request of $2,500.00. The grant will be to provide storage materials and a hydrothermograph for each of the participating institutions. Each organization will determine the general amount of storage materials needed for their records. Carol Mori will consolidate the needs. Boxes, folders, sleeves etc. The deadline for the ENHC grant application is April 1, 2005. BAP will need to have matching grant money from the participating organizations. Tom Scully will speak with Bill Steelman about in kind monies that BAP listed for the previous grant application. If BAP can not use in kind other sources of monies will need to acquired prior to the application deadline. A sub committee Carol Mori, Darren Brown, Tom Scully, Barbara Broudo will develop the grant application the week of March 7th. J. Suminsby presented the new website format created by Charlie Wainwright. The site is consolidated, easy to navigate and provides addition information. Information about Kobi’s report will be added to the site An agenda item for the April meeting will be to discuss the value of having our own domain name and its ramifications. The May 2005 BAP meeting will be held in the evening to encourage additional organizations to become involved and active. Kobi will be invited to attend. A notice of the meeting will be listed in the local papers. John Thomson is following up on cable TV listing. For 2005-2006 it was suggested that BAP have a PowerPoint program scheduled for viewing on Beverly Cable station. Tom Scully, Darren Brown and Barbara Broudo will visit the building inspector and view/select drawings before 9 am some morning the week of March 7th. The exhibit will need to be ready for Beverly Homecoming scheduled for August 2005. The scanning of the first exhibit boards will be completed during the month of March and the original boards returned to owners. John Thomson, Tom Scully and Carol Mori will transport the boards to the NMRLS location. The Committee will travel to the NEDCC in Andover March 10, 2005 for a 10 AM tour of the world renown facilities. We will leave from the Dane Street Church parking lot at 8:45 AM. Artfest sponsored by the Beverly Main Streets Program will be held June 10-12 downtown Beverly. BAP will inquire about a having table to promote our project. We will need to ascertain whether there is a cost involved. Having information about BAP at first Night was also recommended. Next meeting will be April 7, 2005 at the Beverly Public Library @ 9:30 am. Respectfully submitted;
