Church parking lot at 12:15 PM

The second site visit will be to the Burlington Town Hall on Tuesday, February 13th

at 2 PM.  Carpooling at the Dane St. Church parking lot at 1:00 PM

4.         Calendar/ Cookbook – John Thomson reported that Stephen Hall indicated that

no one at the Beverly Historical Society is working on a Calendar.

Saugus uses a system whereby they take in lots of advertising (that's where the money is) and gives the Calendar away.

Denise is looking for the recipes.

It was suggested that the students at AEGIS  (the high school literary magazine) could do the art work and help sell the Calendars.  It was also suggested that perhaps the Trade School Students  might  print them.

Denise will see the faculty adviser for AEGIS to discuss the possibilities for a collaboration.

Denise will bring in a markup of the various suggestions for an historical theme for the Calendar.

5.         Presentation – Barbara  Broudo, John Thomson, and David Shawn had an exchange of ideas.  One person would  present to an organization a  3 part program lasting about 45 minutes as follows:

a.         A series of questions on a  handout, which the audience will answer, such as,

Who are your?  Where are you with regard to your records?  Are you a significant organization in Beverly?

b.         In what form does your organization exist?  Is there a written history?

where is it?  Are records filed so that they can be retrieved?

c.         Give some background about BAP.  Do they want to learn about record  preservation?  Also bring a small box of "stuff", and process it in front of them.

6.         BevCam – Kobi will be willing to do a 25 minute program.

There should also be a 25 minute presentation of  "The BAP Story".

Community members should be encouraged to come in to make 20 minute programs.

How do we organize this?

7.         Goals for 2007 and Beyond  raises such questions as :

Who are we?    What do we really want to do?   What do we do best?

What can we do better?   How do we want to get our message out there?

We are already shifting from an exclusive membership to becoming  more inclusive.

We need to upgrade our website.  Actually, we need  to have our own Domain name

on our own website.

Respectfully submitted  -  Elaine G. Israelsohn
